Single phase electricity meter DDSDXXX is a new type of prepayment meter. Customer purchases energy from the vending network to get a serial number (named as "TOKEN"), and then use the keypad of meter to enter the TOKEN. The credit data will be entered into the meter after the TOKEN being accepted. The TOKEN contains 20 digits and is encrypted. For the purchasing method reason, the meter also named as "Keypad meter".
The data transmission protocol of the meter complies with IEC62055-41. All the specifications comply with IEC62055-31.

4.2,LED Alarm indicators:
(1). The green LED indicates the remained energy is in low level (remained energy threshold 1).
(2). The red LED indicates the remaining energy is below remained energy threshold 2.
(3). When the red LED turns into yellow means the energy is over, the customer must recharge immediately.

5. Operation principle
As shown in figure 3, the current and voltage of power covered into small signal separately and input into a special measurement IC, after a series of process such as multiplication calculation etc. and then output energy pulse, whose frequency is in direct proportion to the supply power, to the microprocessor unit (MCU). The MCU calculate and process this energy impulse to perform the power metering and load control functions etc. The LCD displays the total energy and remained energy etc. and the pulse, remained energy and relay tripping off indictor shows the meter operation state.
6.Application of TOKEN
Customer input the TOKEN via keypad in meter. The meter will make a sound "Ding" every time you input one number and prompt the digit number on the lower left-hand corner. When customer input over nine digits, the first input digit will move out of the LCD and the indicator "" appeared on the lower left-hand corner. If input an incorrect digit, please press"" key to delete.

Meter recharge. After input all of the 20 digits TOKEN, please press "ß|" key to confirm. If the TOKEN is correct and accepted by meter, it will display "IC - good" on the LCD and sound "Ding" twice. The purchased energy will be accumulated to the remained energy.
Recharge wrongly. Meter will sound "Ding" three times and give the failure mark on LCD. Remained energy will not be changed.
TOKEN rejected message as following description:
(1) IC - 001 TOKEN length error;
Solution: Re-enter the TOKEN
(2) IC - 002 TOKEN don't match this meter;
Solution: Check the TOKEN with energy vending station
(3) IC - 003 TOKEN without time information;
Solution: Check the TOKEN with energy vending station
(4) IC - 004 Repeated TOKEN;
Solution: Get another TOKEN ;
(5)IC - 005 TOKEN time information error; TOKEN not as a result of the timely importation, no longer valid.
Solution: Get another TOKEN
(6)IC - 006 Key in meter for this TOKEN is outdate(TID higher 8 digitals is bigger than KEN);TOKEN can not be decrypted.
(7)IC - 007 remained energy plus purchased energy is more than purchased accumulation threshold ;when remained purchase energy plus purchased energy is less than purchased accumulation threshold ,please input this purchased TOKEN;

Remained purchase energy in meter plus the energy that purchased TOKEN is less than alarm energy. Customer shall be purchase energy at vending station in order to avoid tripping off. when remained purchase energy plus purchased energy is more than purchased accumulation threshold, this energy which purchased TOKEN don't add to the meter, but this TOKEN is valid. when remained purchase energy plus purchased energy is less than purchased accumulation threshold, TOKEN can be input to the meter.(about configuration of purchased accumulation threshold, see in clause 11 ).

By Set1stSectionDecoderKey TOKEN and Set2ndSectionDecoderKey TOKEN to achieve key modification .Initialization key is DITK,bar code scanning make DDTK which used as modify meter key before ,customer use DUTK or DCTK;
TOKEN input via keypad, two group of TOKEN enter meter,the first TOKEN input correctly,LCD display "IC-GOOD" and ""indictor;the second TOKEN input correctly ,"IC-GOOD" and ""indictor,the key be modified successfully.
Testing TOKEN be used test some basic functions ,test item include Relay,LCD,total KWh,Key type,tariff no,keypad check,power threshold,tampering status,power,firmware versionetc;
Testing TOKEN don't need be encrypted;after TOKEN input correctly. display item see in clause 7.3.11.
Set Maximum Power Limit Token
This TOKEN be used configuration maximum power threshold,when load over the threshold, relay will trip off ,""indictor display in screen,customer press any button make the relay trip on and power supply resume.but press button times is limited by pre-configuration. if customer want to increase tolerance of load. Please apply for power supply company;
Register resetting TOKEN
When Register = 0xFFFF,these registers relative energy such as remained energy,total KWh,reverse total KWh register need be reset.
7 Display function
There are three kinds of display status: Scrolling display, Querying display and Power down display.
7. 1 Scrolling display
The meter auto-enter into scrolling display mode after power on. The LCD displays remained energy and total energy with 4 seconds interval. When press any key, the backlight will be turned on and last 10 seconds
